I have been breeding Chihuahuas since 2005. I decided to show one of my males after a friend told me he wouldn't make it in the ring. Our very first show, we earned our first point and I've been hooked ever since! My most thrilling moment was the day I finished my first champion. I've met a lot of wonderful people who have shared their knowledge and support with me along the way and for that I'm very thankful. My dogs fill my cup everyday with something I don't get anywhere else!

My name is Sharon Couch and I’ve been a member and officer of the Houston Chihuahua Club since 1994. I am retired from breeding and showing Chihuahuas now but I still love the breed. I raised 9 champion Chihuahuas and they were professionally handled by Mr. Hiram Stewart and Mr. Randall Carr. I live in Richmond, TX with my husband Robert with 6 retired Chihuahuas, 2 Pomeranians and 1 puppy smooth coat Chihuahua as my pets.

I have been breeding Chihuahuas for about 9 years but have only been seriously showing for about a year and a half.  I have not had the pleasure of owning my own champion yet but hope to in the near future. I currently have 2 champion pointed males and 1 champion pointed female that I and my daughter Ana are showing. I am currently a member of the Houston Chihuahua Club and reside in Cleburne, Texas.

There has been a Chihuahua in my house since 2002. I became interested in breeding in 2005 and love the dilute colors that I have. I am looking forward to 2010 as I plan to start in the show ring this year. I am excited and hopeful as to what this year may bring!

In the early 80's I was given a Chihuahua as a gift and have had Chihuahuas from there on.  We entered the show ring in 2007 and "got the show bug".  To date, we have bred and/or finished over 25 Champions.  Our most exciting wins included winner's dog at the 2008 Nationals, BOS to BOV in Sweeps along with class wins and placements during the 2009 National Specialties.  I enjoy the lifelong friendships that I've made through the Chihuahuas and most of all, I enjoy my dogs!

I have been exhibiting since 1952 and although I had a Chihuahua that ruled everyone, I did not show until later.  Joe Durbin gave me my first Chihuahua that finished named Bluejeans and took on everything in the ring.  Cindy and I co-owned a little smooth coat who would not show for either of us, but Randy was able to finish him.  I have bred and shown many more with great success but am now 90 years old.  I want to thank Cindy and Monte Allen for all the help and their friendship that they have given to me over the years.  I enjoy checking the shows and am always thrilled to see one of us win.

A Chihuahua came to live with us in 1969.  In 1978 one took me in the show ring.  I've enjoyed the companionship of many great little dogs over the past 30 plus years and they've had some thrilling wins.  They include Toy Group winners, Best In Show Specialty Winners, Best of Breed at the National specialty, and 6 of my boys have gone winners dog at the National Specialty.  To me the most important attribute of the Chihuahua is a loving, outgoing attitude and I strive to cultivate that in my kids.

I have owned Chihuahua's for approximately 16 years. My first show dog was in 2001 and he won the smooth coat sweepstakes at the CCA Nationals in Chicago! Needless to say, I was hooked! I have bred/finished 8 Champions and have started and major pointed numerous others. A couple of the Champions that I have bred are close to getting their ROM. Showing dogs has given me a wonderful opportunity to make lifelong friends and I am so thankful for their love and support each day!
